Drug form – 50 tablets at 1 mg
Active ingredient – Anastrozole
The use of testosterone esters is sometimes fraught with aromatic side effects such as edema and gynecomastia. Anastrozole, an anti-aromatase drug, was developed to help you overcome these negative phenomena.
Description and pharmacological action
An increase of testosterone level in the blood, which entails the intake of anabolic steroids also increases the level of female hormones, estradiol and estrogens. This phenomenon is called aromatization, which is the conversion of male sex hormones into female biologically active substances. It is the growth of the latter that manifests itself in changes in the male figure according to the female type; an increase in the mammary glands, swelling and accumulation of fat on the chest and thighs.
Anastrozole tablets exhibit pharmacological activity in relation to female hormones. Only 1mg of the active substance reduces their concentration in the blood by 80%, thereby eliminating all external signs of aromatization.
This drug compares favorably with its speed of action from analogs (other aromatase inhibitors). In only 2 hours after taking the pill the content of the active substance in the bloodstream reaches maximum. The process of conversion of sex hormones is suppressed with the same high rate.
Dosage schedule in sports
You should start taking the drug at the end of the steroid course with a 0.5mg dosage every other day for 2 weeks. A longer intake does not make sense because in 14 days the drug will have enough time to act and normalize the hormonal background.
Anastrozole is used not only for the prevention of estrogenic side effects, but also for the treatment of gynecomastia. In this case, the dosage is increased to 1mg and taken also every other day until the symptoms disappear completely. In order for the active substances to enter the bloodstream faster, it is better to take the pill on an empty stomach, with plenty of water.
Indications
Anastrozole is indicated for men only. The use of the drug by women may be accompanied by impaired renal and liver function, skin and hair problems. You should refuse to take the drug if you have heart and vascular diseases, or include the medication in the scheme only after your doctor’s approval.
